As you know, I believe that we are responsible for our own happiness. If something is out of wack, it’s up to us to fix it.
This week’s podcast is about a woman who did just that. Amy Feezor seemingly had everything she’d ever wanted. She worked in New York City for Real Simple Magazine. She freelanced for other major players in the magazine industry. She was writing, making six figures and living in the greatest city on earth, but she wasn’t entirely happy.
Amy decided to change her life, in a big way. She started SAYING YES to lots of things. The first was to herself, the second was to a friend and the third was the biggest life changer of all. Saying yes became a habit. Now, when opportunity knocks, she opens the door.
Amy currently works as a freelance writer and editor, but she doesn’t live in New York City. She co-wrote Lara Spencer’s New York Times bestselling book, Flea Market Fabulous. Additionally, Amy writes about decor, food, travel and eco lifestyle for publications such as Naturally Danny Seo, Every Day with Rachael Ray, and Ecofabulous. Moreover, she recently finished her first manuscript for a novel and is working with agent to get it finished and on the market to (hopefully!) sell.
Anyone who dreams about a different life, or who has everything they ever wanted and it isn’t right, should listen to this podcast. Amy’s work ethic and dedication to what is really important in life is inspiring. Her willingness to face her fears and move past them is the reason she now has the life she always wanted.
